### 1. A swarm hole? A wormhole\!

Scientists call it a wormhole: a pretend tunnel through space with two doors\. Tap the rocket to zoom through\!

Nobody has ever found a real wormhole\. It is an idea that comes from Albert Einstein's maths\.

### 2. Space is stretchy

Think of space like a big trampoline\. Drop a heavy star and watch the sheet dip under it\.

This is real\! Heavy things like the Sun bend space, and that bending is gravity\.

### 3. Fold for a shortcut

Gold door A and blue door B are far apart\. Fold the sheet so they face each other, and a tunnel joins them\!

The yellow dots show the long way round\. The tunnel is the shortcut\.

### 4. Clocks at both doors

Each door has a clock\. Park a heavy star by door B: near heavy things, time ticks slower\.

Real clocks show this too, just by tiny amounts\. Here we speed it up so you can see it\.

### 5. Through the time tunnel

Door A says 3 o'clock\. Door B says 1 o'clock\. Fly in at 3 and pop out at 1: back in time\!

Scientists think you could never travel back to before the tunnel was made\.

### 6. Only an idea, for now

A real wormhole would snap shut fast\. Keeping it open needs strange stuff nobody has found\. Let go and see\!

So for now, wormhole time machines live in maths and stories\. Maybe you will find out more one day\!
