## Guide

### 1. Build and Install a Base Cabinet

This is a kitchen base cabinet: a box 900 mm wide, 720 mm tall and 560 mm deep with three drawers\. Its carcass, the plain box itself, is made of 16 mm boards\. Everything you need is laid out here\. Tap any part to see its name\.

Build it with a grown\-up\. Have a drill, glue, dowels and screws ready\.

### 2. 1 · Drill the Sides

Lay the left side flat and drill rows of small holes 32 mm apart\. The drawer runners screw into them later\. Bigger holes take the dowels, short wooden pegs that line boards up\. Drill the right side the same way\.

### 3. 2 · Fix the Bottom to One Side

Glue dowels into the holes and press the bottom board onto the left side\. The bottom sits between the two sides, not under them\.

### 4. 2 · Add the Other Side

Press the right side down on top\. Confirmat screws, thick 7 × 50 mm furniture screws, go through each side into the bottom to lock it\.

### 5. 3 · Fit the Top Rails

Slide in two 100 mm rails at the top: one lying flat at the front, one standing up at the back\. The back rail is what gets screwed to the wall\.

### 6. 4 · Slide In the Back

Slide the thin 3 mm back panel down the grooves in the sides\. It is light, but it holds the box square, so it cannot lean out of shape\.

### 7. 5 · Fit the Legs

Push the four plastic legs into the bottom near its corners\. Each leg is 150 mm tall and screws up or down to make the cabinet level\.

### 8. 6 · Fit the Runners

Stand the cabinet on its legs\. Screw a pair of runners, the metal rails a drawer rolls on, inside for each drawer\. The drawer boxes come ready to clip together\.

### 9. 7 · Hang the Drawers

Lay each drawer box on its runners and push it in until it clicks\. The shallow drawer goes at the top\.

### 10. 7 · Attach the Fronts

Clip the coloured fronts on: two of 296 mm and a slim 124 mm one at the top\. Adjust them until the gaps between them are an even 3 mm\.

### 11. 8 · Install It on Site

Carry the cabinet to the wall\. Turn the legs until a spirit level reads true side to side and front to back\. Then screw the back rail into the wall so it can never tip\.

### 12. 8 · Clip On the Kickboard

The 150 mm kickboard clips onto the front legs and hides them\. It sits back a little, so your toes have room when you stand at the counter\.

### 13. Done

Your cabinet is built and installed\. A worktop goes on top next\. The drawers glide shut softly because their runners have a built\-in damper\.
