### 1. Build the Vedrana TV Unit

This long, low TV unit has four bays: three behind doors and one open, all on slim black legs\. It takes about an hour and two people\. You need a cross\-head screwdriver and the small hex key from the box\. Tap any part to see its name and letter\.

Build it on a rug or carpet so the panels do not get scratched\.

### 2. 1 · Prepare Divider \(1\)

Screw two connector bolts \(C\) into one face of divider 1\. A connector bolt is a metal pin that a cam will grab later\. Push a dowel \(E\), a short ribbed wooden peg that lines boards up, in beside each\. On the other face, press in two shelf pegs \(J\): little studs that will hold a shelf\.

### 3. 2 · Prepare Divider \(3\)

Now do the same on divider 3\. Put two bolts and two dowels on one face, and two shelf pegs on the other\.

### 4. 3 · Join the Fixed Shelf

Put four round cams \(B\) into the holes of shelf 2\. Push dividers 1 and 3 onto its ends, then turn each cam with the screwdriver\. A cam is a little wheel that grabs the bolt head and pulls the joint tight\.

### 5. 4 · Bolts in the Bottom Board

Lay the bottom board \(10\) flat\. Screw in six bolts \(C\) and push in six dowels \(E\), in pairs where the dividers will stand\.

### 6. 5 · Pegs on Divider \(4\)

Press four shelf pegs \(J\) into divider 4, two on each face\. Later they hold up the shelves\.

### 7. 6 · Stand the Dividers Up

Lower divider 4 and the shelf unit onto the bolts of the bottom board\. Check that the little arrow on each divider points up\. Then lock the six cams \(B\) with the screwdriver\.

An upside\-down divider puts its grooves in the wrong place for the back panels\.

### 8. 7 · Fit the End Panels

Slide the left end panel \(6\) and the right end panel \(5\) onto the bottom board\. Turn each of the four locks a quarter turn \(90°\) with the hex key \(A\)\.

### 9. 8 · Slide in the Back Panels

Go round to the back of the unit\. Slide the four thin back panels down into their grooves: 7, 7, then 8 with the cable slot behind the open bay, then 7\.

### 10. 9 · Prepare the Top Board

Lay the top board \(11\) upside down\. Screw in six bolts \(C\), then fix three metal straps \(P\), small drilled plates, and fit a push latch \(K\) in each\. The latches let the doors open with a gentle push, so they need no handles\.

Each strap only fits one way round: the long gap between holes goes to the left\.

### 11. 10 · Lower the Top Board

Turn the top board over and lower it onto the dividers\. Lock the six cams \(B\) with the screwdriver and give the four end\-panel locks a quarter turn with the hex key\.

### 12. 11 · Build the Leg Frame

Stand the two leg rails \(16\) side by side and lay the two cross bars \(17\) under them\. Fix each bar with four bolts \(L\) and the hex key\.

### 13. 12 · Fix the Legs to the Cabinet

With a helper, turn the cabinet over onto its top and lay the leg frame on the bottom board\. Fix the rails with eight bolts \(M\) and the centre leg \(18\) with four more\. That fifth leg stops the long board from sagging in the middle\.

Always lift together\. Never drag the unit across the floor\.

### 14. 13 · Stand It Up and Level It

Turn the unit back onto its legs\. Screw the 13 stop blocks \(I\), small plastic wedges that stop each door at the right place, in behind the door edges\. Then turn the feet under the legs until the unit stands level and steady\.

### 15. 14 · Hinges on the Doors

Lay the three doors inside face up\. Press a hinge cup, the round part of the hinge, into each round hole and screw it down: hinges G on doors 12 and 14, hinges H on door 13\.

### 16. 15 · Hang the Doors

Clip each door onto its hinge plates\. Door 12 hangs from the left end panel; doors 13 and 14 hang from their right\-hand edges\. Press the round caps \(D\) over the visible holes\.

### 17. 16 · Adjust the Doors

Three screws on each hinge move the door sideways, in and out, and up and down\. Turn them until the gaps match: equal at both sides \(a = a\) and at top and bottom \(b = b\)\.

### 18. 17 · Fit the Shelves

Open the doors and press the last four pegs \(J\) into the end panels\. Slide a shelf \(15\) onto each set of four pegs\.

### 19. All Done

Your Vedrana unit is ready: 1\.95 metres long and 55 centimetres tall\. Once a year, check the screws and tighten any that have worked loose\.
