### 1. 5 MWh in a single 20 ft box

Meet the Envision Smart BESS ENS\-LC, a liquid\-cooled battery energy storage system that fits about 5 MWh into one standard 20\-foot container\. Drag the scene to walk around it\.

A two\-container ENS\-LC10060 is rated 10,060 kWh at 1,165 to 1,500 V\.

### 2. Factory\-built, ready to connect

Batteries, liquid cooling and fire protection arrive pre\-installed, which cuts work on site\. Open the six doors to see the battery racks inside, or tap a door pair\.

Envision says factory pre\-installation cuts balance\-of\-plant costs and site work\.

### 3. Cells made for storage

Each pack holds 315 Ah lithium iron phosphate \(LFP\) cells designed for energy storage\. Envision rates them for 12,000 cycles, well over twice the 5,000 of its first generation in 2018\.

One 315 Ah cell stores 1,008 Wh at 3\.2 V and measures 72 by 173 by 207 mm\.

### 4. Liquid cooling from \-40 to \+50 °C

Coolant, shown in blue, runs past every rack and carries heat to the cooling unit at the end of the container, so the cells keep working on hot desert and cold coastal sites alike\.

Envision quotes an operating range of \-40 °C to \+50 °C for its liquid\-cooled systems\.

### 5. Safety in layers

Smoke, heat and gas detectors watch every rack\. If a pack overheats, a clean agent floods that sealed IP67 pack, and explosion\-proof ventilation clears gas out through the roof vents\.

Exhaust ventilation and deflagration venting follow NFPA 69 and NFPA 68, and the enclosure carries a one\-hour fire rating\.

### 6. Grid\-ready power conversion

The power conversion system \(PCS\) links the batteries to the grid\. Envision's liquid\-cooled PCS reaches up to 99% efficiency and responds in 5 ms\. Switch modes to see which way the energy flows\.

The PCS can also run in grid\-forming mode and is IP65 rated\.

### 7. Why Envision

Envision designs its storage cells, battery systems and power conversion together and runs them with its EnOS software, drawing on more than 100 GW of its wind turbines installed worldwide\. Its batteries helped build Southeast Asia's largest storage plant\.
