### 1. The Parts

Two L\-shaped steel levers with round plates called rosettes, a square bar called the spindle, sleeves, screws, an optional red guide ring and an Allen key\.

The spindle is square so it can turn the lock without slipping\.

### 2. Check the Door

Find the two screw holes 30 mm apart above and below the round hole, and check that the door is 40 mm thick\.

Inside the door edge sits the lock case with its square hole, the follower\.

### 3. Optional Guide Ring

If the round hole is wide or worn, press the red guide ring into it on side A so its two little pegs grip the wood\.

A snug hole holds the brass collar by itself, so no ring is needed\.

### 4. Sleeves into Handle A

Push both threaded sleeves through the holes in handle A’s rosette until their flat heads sit down in the countersinks\.

### 5. Handle A into the Door

Slide the spindle into handle A, then push it through the lock’s square hole until the rosette lies flat on the door\.

The brass collar under the rosette centres the handle in the hole\.

### 6. Cut the Screws

Hold a screw beside the door, then bend it at the notch that leaves door thickness plus about 10 mm, and it snaps off cleanly\.

The notches are built\-in snap\-off points, so no saw is needed\.

### 7. Handle B and Screws

Slide handle B onto the spindle from the other side, then drive the screws into the sleeves a little at a time, swapping between them\.

Tightening in turns pulls both rosettes flat and keeps the lever straight\.

### 8. Grub Screws

Use the Allen key to tighten the tiny grub screw in each handle neck until it presses on a flat face of the spindle\.

This stops the levers from wobbling or sliding off\.

### 9. Test the Handle

Press the lever down: the spindle turns the lock, the latch bolt slides into the door, and a spring pushes it back out when you let go\.

The lever springs back because of the spring inside the lock\.

### 10. All Fitted

The handle set is fitted: both levers turn together on one spindle and the rosettes sit flat on the door\.
