### 1. Meet Cappsule HQ

Cappsule HQ is a small device that sits by the bed and quietly keeps watch over someone at home\. It has no camera, and there is nothing to wear or press\. Let's see how it works\.

Its makers designed it for aged care, home care, disability care and assisted living\.

### 2. A spot where life happens

HQ goes where a person spends time or could slip: a bedroom, a bathroom or a living room\. Stand it on a bedside table or a shelf, plug it in, and it senses the whole room\.

No size is published\. Ours is drawn about 15 cm tall, judged from the maker's photo\.

### 3. Radio ripples

Inside, a radar sends out gentle radio waves\. They bounce off the sleeper, and every breath and heartbeat moves the chest a tiny bit, which changes the echo\. That lets HQ follow breathing and heart rate without touching anyone\.

Radar is not an X\-ray or a camera\. It measures echoes, not pictures\.

### 4. Reading the room

Other sensors read the room itself, such as air quality and light\. When the room and the person change at the same time, HQ can put the two together\.

News reports also list sound, ultrasonic and heat sensing among its sensors\.

### 5. Learning what is normal

Night after night, HQ learns what normal looks like for this one person: how they sleep, move and breathe\. This personal pattern is called a baseline\. Watch the nights fill in the usual band\.

Machine learning means the device finds the pattern from its own measurements\.

### 6. Spotting a change

Then HQ watches for changes\. Some are sudden, like a fall or a long time without moving\. Others creep in slowly, like more broken sleep, and noticing them early can help before a crisis\.

### 7. Calling for help

When something needs attention, HQ alerts carers through the Cappsule App straight away, even if the person cannot call out\. Built\-in Wi\-Fi and mobile data keep messages flowing during an outage\.

Press Send an alert to watch a message travel to a carer's phone\.

### 8. Smart Tags help too

Small Smart Tags stretch HQ's reach to everyday things\. A tag on a pill box can confirm the medicine was taken\. Family and carers can help sooner, while the person simply lives their life\.

In late 2025 Cappsule aimed for US FDA approval and retail by the end of 2026\.
